  1.  Welcome to the IEClean demonstration! All of the information
  2. you want to look at is contained within the program itself.
  3. This readme file is here in case you have problems installing
  4. or running the IEClean30 demo itself. You will also find
  5. UNinstall information at the bottom of this page.
  6.  
  7.  This particular demonstration is a 32 bit *ONLY* application
  8. designed to work with the 32 bit version of MSIE 3.0 on
  9. WindowsNT or Windows95 machines.  This demonstration will NOT
  10. run under Windows 3.x or with 16 bit versions of MSIE 3.0.
  11.  
  12.  If you're running Windows 3.1, 3.11 or Windows for Workgroups,
  13. or you are using a 16 bit version of MSIE 3.0, then you will
  14. want the compatible 16/32 bit version of IEClean (regular
  15. IEClean) which will run on 16 or 32 bit Windows 3.x or
  16. Windows95 machines. The 16/32 bit version does NOT run on
  17. WindowsNT by Microsoft's design.

  19.  Please note that when you use the "View" function to examine
  20. the large amount of personal data stored by MSIE, this data is
  21. very large and may take several minutes to finish displaying.
  22. There is no way to stop this data from displaying, so please
  23. make it a point to look over this massive data when you have
  24. a few free minutes to sit back and watch how much MSIE has
  25. stored away for anyone to view. It will be most educational.

  45.  UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

  48.  Since the IEClean30 demonstration is a full 32 bit
  49. application, we have used the commercial InstallShield
  50. installer for your convenience. Since this installer hooks
  51. directly into the Windows 4.0 (95 or NT) system, you must use
  52. the Control Panel to uninstall this program. All files and all
  53. traces of this demo will be removed by the Windows32 system.

  55.  To uninstall the demo, follow these steps:
  56.  
  57.  1. Click on the Start button.
  58.  
  59.  2. Select "Settings."
  60.  
  61.  3. Select "Control panel."
  62.  
  63.  4. Select "Add/Remove programs."
  64.  
  65.  5. Move down to find "IEClean30 Demo" among the list of
  66.     programs which can be uninstalled.

  68.  6. Highlight "IEClean30 Demo."
  69.  
  70.  7. Click on "Add/Remove."
  71.  
  72.  8. UNinstall will run automatically and remove the IEClean
  73.     demo completely.
